Crochet Baby to Adult Size Beanie with Bear Ears - Written pattern and video tutorial

WRITTEN PATTERN IN PDF
FORM:
1- Go to the FREE DOWNLOADS bobwilson123
folder that is located on the left hand side and find the pattern you want.
2-Click add to cart. When you have all the
patterns you want to download, click checkout. You will have to sign up to the
website, but you only have to do this once.
3- Select PAYPAL as the payment (don’t
worry its free, but you have to select a PAYPAL for it to work ) and then
process the purchase.

Hook size 4.00 mm. US G/6
Yarn, 8 ply. US 4 ply
US terms used through out pattern
St’s used:
Sl st = slip stitch
Ch = chain
Dc= double crochet
Skill= beginner
Beginning at top of the hat:
Ch 4, join with sl st to first ch to form a ring,
Ch 3 is counted as the beginning dc of every round
Increase rounds:
Row 1: ch 3, work 11 dc into the ring, join with a sl st into the top of the ch3 (12 dc)
Row 2: ch 3, work 1 dc into the same place, work 2 dc’s in each dc around, join with a sl st into the top of the ch3, (24 dc)
Row 3: ch 3, work 2 dc in next dc, *work 1 dc in next dc, work 2 dc in next dc,* repeat from *to* to end, join with a sl st into the top of the ch3, (36 dc)
Row 4: ch 3, work 1 dc in next dc, work 2 dc in next dc, *work 1 dc in each of next 2 dc, work 2 dc in next dc,* repeat from *to* to end, join with a sl st into the top of the ch3, (48 dc)
Row 5: ch 3, work 1 dc in each of next 2 dc, work 2 dc in next dc, *work 1 dc in each of next 3 dc, work 2 dc in next dc,* repeat from *to* to end, join with a sl st into the top of the ch3, (60 dc)
Stop increases for baby size hat. See notes at bottom of page for adult size hat
Row 6: ch 3, work 1 dc in each dc to end, join with a sl st into the top of the ch3, (60 dc)
Row 7 to 10: repeat row 6. You can make your hat longer in length by adding more repeat rows of row 6
Sew in loose ends
Making the bear Ears: Make 2
Ch 4, join with sl st to first ch to form a ring,
Ch 3 is counted as the beginning dc of every round
Increases
Row 1: ch 3, work 11 dc into the ring, join with a sl st into the top of the ch3 (12 dc)
Row 2: ch 3, work 1 dc into the same place, work 2 dc’s in each dc around, join with a sl st into the top of the ch3, (24 dc)

Row 3 and Row 4: ch 3, work 1 dc in each dc to end, join with a sl st into the top of the ch3, (24 dc), finish off leaving a long tail for sewing ear onto the hat
Press ear flat with your hand and shape into an ear form and sew into place, onto equal sides of the beanie…
Notes for adult size beanie:
Continue increases
Row 6: ch 3, work 1 dc in each of next 3 dc, work 2 dc in next dc, *work 1 dc in each of next 4 dc, work 2 dc in next dc,* repeat from *to* to end, join with a sl st into the top of the ch3, (72 dc)
Row 7: ch 3, work 1 dc in each dc to end, join with a sl st into the top of the ch3, (72 dc)
Row 8: to Row 13: repeat row 7. You can make your hat shorter or longer in length by decreasing or adding more repeat rows of row 7.

To fit 13 to 14 cm head circumference, new born, approx 8lb baby
Hook size 4.00 mm. US F
Yarn, 8 ply. US 4 ply

Skill= beginner+
Beginning at top tail of the hat: Make a Magic ring or ch 5, join with sl st to first ch to form a ring, ch 1
Row 1: work 6 hdc into the ring, do not join round This is going to be tight
Row 2: work 1 hdc in each hdc around (6 hdc)
Repeat row 2, for a length of approx 30 cm’s (12 inches) long, or length desired. Upon completion count your st’s, you should still have 6 hdc, if not adjust accordingly (increase or decrease)
Begin hat part: use a stitch marker to keep track of your rounds
Row 1: work 2 hdc’s in each hdc around, do not join round, (12 hdc)
Row 2: *work 1 hdc into the next hdc, work 2 hdc into the next hdc* repeat from *to* to end of round, do not join round (18 hdc)
Row 3: *work 1 hdc into each of the next 2 hdc, work 2 hdc into the next hdc* repeat from *to* to end of round, do not join round (24 hdc)
Row 4: *work 1 hdc into each of the next 3 hdc, work 2 hdc into the next hdc* repeat from *to* to end of round, do not join round (30 hdc)
Row 5: *work 1 hdc into each of the next 4 hdc, work 2 hdc into the next hdc* repeat from *to* to end of round, do not join round (36 hdc)
Row 6: *work 1 hdc into each of the next 5 hdc, work 2 hdc into the next hdc* repeat from *to* to end of round, do not join round (42 hdc)
Row 7: *work 1 hdc into each of the next 6 hdc, work 2 hdc into the next hdc* repeat from *to* to end of round, do not join round (48 hdc)
Row 8: *work 1 hdc into each of the next 7 hdc, work 2 hdc into the next hdc* repeat from *to* to end of round, do not join round (54 hdc)
Row 9: *work 1 hdc into each of the next 8 hdc, work 2 hdc into the next hdc* repeat from *to* to end of round, do not join round (60 hdc)
Row 10: work 1 hdc into each hdc to end of round, do not join round (60 hdc)
Repeat row 10, until your hat is approx 14 cm’s in height
To finish off, work 1 sc into next st, work 1 sl st into each of the next 2 st’s, finish off and weave in ends.
Attach a pompom for the final touch
